In modern society, people's quality of life is becoming higher and higher, which is accompanied by a variety of foods such as fried food and grilled food. As a result of these high-calorie foods, people's weight is becoming bigger and bigger. For keeping a healthy body state, the fat people are trying to lose weight arduously. While many people fall into a pitfall when they are attempting to lose their weight. For losing weight, many of them don't eat dinner, even some of them just eat one meal a day. Some others of them lose weight only by doing aerobic exercise. I want to say these two means are not scientific and efficient ways to lose weight. "Most people lose weight by falling into a trap, they think underweight is losing weight. Is it really so simple? Of course not, weight loss doesn't equal fat loss"("Misunderstanding of Weight Loss -- Weight Loss Doesn't Equal Fat Loss," 2015). Some people don't eat dinner and they think when no calorie inject into their bodies, there will be no fat accumulation in their body, so gradually they will become slender. As a matter of fact, when you are lack of food, you will feel hungry, which as if is a signal transmitted to your brain. As you know, human's brains are very delicate and smart. When brain receive this signal, it will mandate your body to reduce calorie consumption. As a result of calorie consumption decrease, the basal metabolic rate of your body will slow as well. While basal metabolic rate is a very significant factor for losing weight. "Basal metabolic rate refer to in a natural temperature environment, the minimum energy required by a constant temperature animal to maintain life in a non strenuous state"("Basal Metabolic Rate," n.d.). If one possesses a high basal metabolic rate, he will lose fat much easily because the higher the basal metabolic rate of one person is, the faster he loses his energy. While energy comes from fat, so the faster he loses his fat, which will let him become slender very easily. When a person endures a long period of lack of food, he covets food. Once he can't control himself of dieting, the terrible thing happens. When he eat food greedily, his brain will immediately issue a signal to his body and demand his body to store more fat than before in case of the "famine" on next time, so that's why many persons once lose control of dieting their weight will rebound beyond the weight before they begin the plan of dieting. In addition, human's metabolic rate consists of basal metabolic rate and exercising metabolic rate. As shown, exercising metabolic rate is another significant factor for losing weight. The exercising metabolic rate means the calorie loss in the process of exercise. In the term of this definition, many people jog in GYM and they only jog. Jogging may works for the time being, but after a long period, joggers will find that their weight will never decrease at all and the fat attached around the waist will never disappear. Why?! It's because that, for example, when a person is jogging, in the first 25 to 30 minutes, his body will expend the carbohydrate in his body, and in the about 30 to 45 minutes, his body will consume the fat in his body, but after 45 minutes, his body will consume his muscle in his body! This is a really bad thing. As I mentioned above, the basal metabolic rate is a very important factor for losing weight. In the meantime, muscle is a very important factor for increasing the basal metabolic rate because of a vital mechanism whose definition is that muscle needs consume fat all the time in order to keep its activity, which means the high basal metabolic rate is always followed by the large content of muscle. This can explain that why some strong men even lose weight when they are sleeping. In conclusion, the most scientific way to lose weight is the combination of aerobic exercise and anaerobic exercise plus rational dieting. After sticking with it for a period, you will find that losing weight is not a so difficult thing to achieve.
